Whale Imaging Inc., Boston Mass., has appointed St John Medical Endeavors Inc. as its exclusive master distributor for the complete range of MultiScan G-arm Systems. Whale has just launched its new G-arm in China with Europe and Scandinavia to follow shortly. The Orca MultiScan G-arm with Whale's proprietary CrossBeam technology is revolutionising the way surgeons operate on certain orthopaedic trauma and spine cases.
Whale President Mr Sean Zhu announced that sales of Whale’s successful C-arm systems have surpassed 1,000 units worldwide. “The success of this model is underpinned by the increasing success we are achieving by incorporating our advanced technologies across our entire product range”, said Mr Zhu
The Whale MultiScan G-arm System was officially launched in Europe at the EFORT orthopaedic conference in Berlin, held in May 2012 and attended by 6,500 delegates from Europe and the world. “The reaction from surgeons was overwhelming. Everyone we spoke with immediately saw the benefits. This confirms to us that our G-arm system can make a major contribution to orthopaedic trauma and spinal surgery outcomes”, said Laurence Heron, VP International for Whale.
