Mobile digital C-arms

With over 1,000 Whale C-arms in use worldwide we have wide experience with this product and with users. Our DigiArc® range of C-arms provides digital quality and low dose, helping you to achieve better outcomes for your patients.

The Whale DigiArc C-arm range combines quality image intensifiers and robust X-ray generators with a C-arm that allows multiple movements for use in a variety of surgical procedures. DigiArc C-arms are the number one choice for reliability, versatility, and value.

The DigiArc 100 and 700 digital series provides a number of advanced user-friendly features for use in orthopaedics, abdominal imaging, and interventional procedures. DigiArc’s dual monitor configuration is ideal for fixing a reference image on one screen while observing a live image on the other screen.

In procedures such as hip reduction or pinning, the surgeon is better able to determine the relative positions of the femoral head, acetabulum, and the pin. In wrist orthography the digital on-line and post processing features, such as LUT, Sharpen and Zoom, allow the surgeon to apply a variety of digital effects to enhance the images.

During laparoscopic cholecystectomy procedures the Dynamic Cholangiography feature helps surgeons to remove the overlying structure of the biliary tree by using the optional computerized Digital Subtraction function. This function can also be used to find calculi and other anomalies during the assessment of the cystic duct with the dual screen display and in procedures such as dilation of the urethral stenosis, esophageal stenosis, percutaneous lithotripsy, CI imaging , visceral imaging, endoscopic studies (e.g. ERCP and retrograde biliary drainage, and autoradiography).

Intelligent generator technology minimises dose. Our systems can easily be integrated with a hospital PACS environment.

Image quality is clearly the most important feature of any mobile C-arm. The Whale DigiArc range offers both value and quality and features a 768 x 576 x 8bit video/image display, large storage capacity of up to 80,000 images), and integrated twin 17” high resolution monitors. The DigiArc 100 provides good resolution and detailed visualization in all applications in 9”, 6’ or 4.5” fields of view. A touch screen console provides intuitive control over functions.
